My website is functioning fine. The links work. Content is added regularly. We keep adding new features. So why would my company need to completely to re-design our website?

Well, I have one question for you... are you achieving your goals or getting further away from them?

As your website grows, it soon outgrows its foundation. This leads to unorganized content, poor usability, weak conversion paths and inevitably chaos. Instead of continuing the band-aid approach and letting your competition take more and more of your target audience away from you, it's time to take the leap and advance your goals.

Websites are an investment and whether you know it or not, it is in most cases the first introduction to your audience. Check out these power stats from Sweor:

  • 57% of internet users say they won’t recommend a business with a poorly designed website on mobile.
  • 88% of online consumers are less likely to return to a site after a bad experience.
  • 77% of agencies believe that a bad website User Experience is a weakness for their clients.
  • 75% of consumers admit to making judgements on a company’s credibility based on the company’s website design.
  • 94% of negative website feedback was design related.

5 Reasons Why Your Company Needs Its Website Re-Designed

1. New Foundation

With any website redesign, it is a great time to do a little rethinking. Looking at the current site, a question needs to be asked… What is it that people want when coming to my website?

2. Judging by the Cover

The old adage “Never judge a book by its’ cover” doesn’t apply to your website. By making an outstanding first impression with a crisp, clean, professional look the user gets a sense of trust from the company behind the website.

3. Order of Importance

Your website could have the exact information people are looking for. However, if they can’t find it they will go somewhere else to find the information. Bringing the important content that is hidden under multiple clicks to the forefront makes it easy for a user to locate. With every click the user has to make, the more and more they will drop off before finding what they were searching for on your website.

4. New Experience

New features can dramatically improve the user experience, as well as, eliminate some of your day-to-day tasks to free up some time. Don't just add features for the sake of adding features though, they need to have a purpose. These features need to educate the user, help guide the user to the next step, enhance engagement, or advance marketing efforts.

Also, as new plugins are released, new features become available. And removing dated features is just as important as adding new ones because the longer you and your audience plays with a website or mobile site, the more everyone realize its faults.

5. Cheapest Employee

The goal of a website re-design is to create a better user experience. Maybe it’s because you are rebranding, or the navigation menu doesn't showcase all of your services, or it is difficult for a user to purchase a product on their smartphone. Whatever the case may be, treat your website like your best employee. If you invest in it, it will produce more revenue for you.
